Sometimes “Hey, that’s great. Thanks!” would be an acceptable alternative

I’m giving my all

And yet, all I hear is “more”

    50 is the new 30…that’s what my shrink says. I have trouble believing her. My children came down to Vancouver for a few days, invited 19 friends over for a baby shower with promises of, “don’t worry mom, we’ll take care of everything.” All I have to say is …HA!

    • 50 is the new 30 but with more wrinkles and less gravity defiance. Haiku helps me flush the crankiness out of my bloodstream.

        Very good Jeannie. I tend to meditate to murtas for curmudgeon-ness, but writing helps. I’ve written a fair few haikus, but I stick to the 5,7,5 rule; something I don’t see so much around these days.
