My Name is Not Bob, well sort of

I know I’ve already posted today, but I got a wonderful surprise that I wanted to share.

I’ve been participating in Robert Lee Brewer’s My Name is Not Bob platform challenge.  One of the tasks was to act as a guest blogger, so I pitched this story to him.  It’s the story that I was finally ready to tell.  I’m proud of it, and I’m glad to share it with you.

  1. Wow … you have every right to be proud of that story — not only of the fabulously excellent words and the way they flowed, but also of being able to share your journey in such an honest way. I admire and envy that.

While my life these days is usually as good as the stories I write in my blog, there are years of difficulty and sadness, long past, that only my children know about. My husband (second, we were both widowed) has a bit of an idea. In my case, I wrote an entire book to fictionalize some of those memories.

No matter what, our struggles have to be committed to paper, don’t they.

Again, congratulations. This is one of the best things I’ve read lately.

  2. Oh yes, I’ve read it this morning! Thanks to Robert’s Platform challenge, I learned to open up and be more social. I visited you on Robert’s site (thanks to your announcement on FB). And now I’m making my #MNINB website rounds and going down the list. And coincidentally, I made it to your blog. That’s 3 visits to you in one day! Again, loved your story this morning. Great way to start my day.

  3. Congratulations on being on MNINB. That is a great accomplishment. So glad you are now happily doing what you dream of doing. That is what all of us should aspire to accomplish.

  4. Awesome post! i left a better comment over at Not Bob’s side…
