This actually made me tear up a little … Partially from laughing so hard, but also remembering all those STUPID Mother’s Day “celebrations” where my mom swore up and down all she wanted to do was go see some stupid movie my brother and I had pestered her into agreeing she really wanted to see, too. Or a MD breakfast that included none of her favorite foods because we thought they were gross. Or having her lend us $20 so we could get her flowers that cost $4 and change. Even the time I made her pick out her own Mother’s Day card because it was “easier that way.” There’s no doubt in my mind that our mom knew we loved her very, very much. But there’s also no doubt that we were very, VERY bad at showing it, ha-ha!
